Film-maker Raajhorshee De is back with a new project for national and international audiences alike — an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth, titled Mayaa. The film has an ensemble cast featuring 19 actors and is being backed by the state government. The music of Mayaa has been composed by Ranajoy Bhattacharjee, while Rupankar and Somlata have lent their voices for the songs. Kamaleshwar Mukherjee’s daughter Ujaan Mukherjee also makes her singing debut in Mayaa. The DoP is Indranth Marik, while Nafisa Mondal is the production designer. The costumes are by Poulami Gupta and the look and styling has been handled by Aniruddha Chakladar. The screenplay and dialogues of the film are by Raajhorshee De and Ebong Ipsita.
