A scene from Inception

My favorite watch in the 'extraction' genre is the pulsating sci-fi action thriller Inception (2010) by Christopher Nolan. Starring one of my favourite actors Leonardo DiCaprio alongside a proficient ensemble cast, it explores the journey of an extractor who collects significant information by intruding into his target's subconscious mind. Running high on action and packed with nail-biting sequences, Inception treats the audience with an unparalleled cinematic experience with a sprinkling of sci-fi elements. The character of Dom Cobb was outstanding. His personality was composed of intelligence, experience and adeptness acting as a guide on his risky path. Christopher Nolan always thrills the audience with his ideas while DiCaprio levels up his game with an exemplary performance. I have always felt that Hollywood has a brilliant knack for action films and Inception definitely tops the list. (Which is your favourite watch in the 'extraction' genre... August 29)

My favourite watch in the extraction genre is the 2019 Catherine Hardwicke-directed Hollywood movie Miss Bala. It's an exciting movie with a gripping and suspenseful plot. The story revolves around a young Los Angeles make-up artist named Gloria and how she outwits some dangerous criminals to get her best friend, who's kidnapped by a ruthless drug cartel, from a nightclub in Mexico to safety. Not just the story, the movie is also full of breathtaking action sequences which make it a thrilling watch for viewers. Gina Rodriguez played the role of Gloria and the actress essayed the character just fantastically. Among all the movies in this genre I watched in recent times, undoubtedly this edge-of-the-seat action thriller is the film I enjoyed the most.
