My fave dishes...
I stick to Bengali cuisine on all five days of the Puja though I love continental food the most. And even though I prefer home food, I love the daab chingri and mochar ghonto at Oh! Calcutta. The options are varied at 6 Ballygunge Place with luchi, chholar dal, begun bhaja, dhokar dalna and many more dishes. I also love to have the bhog at our apartment puja.

PAULI DAM
My fave restaurants...
Crystal Chopsticks, Peter Cat and the little-known Eau Chew, off CR Avenue.
My fave dishes...
Crystal Chopsticks is closer home, so I go there often to dig into chicken and squids. I also love their momos. Chelo Kebab and sizzlers are my favourites at Peter Cat. I loved the Meatball Soup at Eau Chew and I would go there again for it. The soup has got a very distinct taste, which I haven’t yet come across in any other dish anywhere else.

RIMJHIM MITRA
My fave restaurants...
6 Ballygunge Place, Crystal Chopsticks and Mocambo.
My fave dishes...
During the Pujas, I prefer home-cooked food and my mom rustles up something special at least one day. But I love prawns and I love digging into the delicious daab chingri and chingrir malaikari at 6 Ballygunge Place. My expectations of Bangali khabar are very high and 6 Ballygunge Place always lives up to it.
I also drop by Crystal Chopsticks at Hindusthan Park for their Chilli Prawns. It’s yummy! I don’t like any accompanying dish with prawns. And, of course, Mocambo. I make it a point to order for their Prawn Steak. It is just delicious!
