They first hit it off as contestants on Season 9 of Bigg Boss. Even as whispers of them being a couple surfaced often, TV throb Prince Narula and actress Yuvika Choudhary have kept their fans guessing. Now the two are all set to host Date To Remember — a reality dating show on MTV. t2 caught up with Prince and Yuvika at Park Street pub Whats In D Name that hosted the after-party of the show’s auditions in Calcutta. Are they dating? Well, read between the lines! 

Yuvika, what does Prince mean to you?

Yuvika Choudhary: There is a space in my heart that he has filled. He is someone I can call at 4am. He is my best friend... my bestest friend, actually. He’s my only friend, not just in Mumbai, but everywhere else too. 

And Prince, what does Yuvika mean to you?

Prince Narula: Kaise bataoon main? Right now, she’s my everything. My fans know that Yuvika and I are close and that is enough for me.
Yuvika: We are in that space where we are very comfortable, we share everything with each other. That space is the best space in life.

What attracts you in each other?

Prince: We are both short-tempered, and we get angry at the same time! Manaata main hi hoon... achha lagta hai pamper karna...
Yuvika: His quality of ‘manaao-ing’ really makes my heart melt. We are like Tom and Jerry!
Prince: Main Jerry, tum Tom!

How did life change for the two of you after Bigg Boss? 

Prince: I’m busy with my reality shows and meeting my fans. I started from winning Mr. Punjab in 2014, and then I won Roadies (Season 12), Splitsvilla (Season 8) and then Bigg Boss (Season 9). Life has changed a lot.
Yuvika: Life has changed completely! Pehle I was an introvert but now I’m more out there, thanks to him (points at Prince). He’s helped me a lot. I stayed in the house (Bigg Boss) because of him and that house has changed me a lot. I came out of my shell and comfort zone. Before Bigg Boss, I had this fear, ‘Oh my god, how will I look without make-up?’ but now I’m more comfortable in my skin and I don’t care. The most important thing is that you should be a nice person.

Given a chance, would you go back to the Bigg Boss house?

Prince: Main toh chalaa jaaunga aur dobara jeet ke aaunga! 
Yuvika: I would just go and say ‘Hi’, and come back. I’m glad I am not a part of this season because this season is full drama!

Is there anyone you are supporting this season?

Prince: I support Vikas (Gupta), he is like my brother. He’s very patient. Uske saath log khel rahein hain but unko yeh nahin pataa ki woh apni game khel raha hai. 
Yuvika: He is intelligent and very sharp.

Om Shanti Om  just turned 10. Yuvika, what’s your favourite memory from set?

Yuvika: I remember while we were shooting the Dastaan (Dastaan-e-om shanti om) song, my gown started unzipping, but Shah Rukh Khan made me feel so comfortable. He’s a thorough gentleman. I also remember I (Yuvika played a Bollywood actress called Dolly) just couldn’t say the ‘Ek chutki sindoor’ dialogue... even after it was written big and bold on the board!  It took me atleast five-six retakes. Farah (Khan, the director) was strict with everyone. But since I was her choice, she had faith in me and was very lenient with me. After I saw the final cut, I was relieved.

Prince: The concept is very different from Roadies and Splitsvilla. You will have to ‘earn’ your date. Aap kaise khelte ho, apni date ko kaise save karte ho, this is the basis of our show.
You have to earn your time with your partner. On this show,  kuch logon ke present partners hain, kuch ke ex-partners hain.

Prince: You should be loyal, there should be trust and understanding and you should be each others’ friends first.
Yuvika: Be yourself, love and care for the other person... that is very important

Yuvika: All the girls love his dimple! He will be more than happy to tell you!
Prince: (Laughs) Yes! Once a girl told me, ‘Aapki dimple ko dekh ke aapko roz dekhne ka mann karta hain’. Another said, ‘Aapki smile dekh ke aapse roz pyaar hota hain’.
Yuvika: Kaun hai, bhai?! Ask who says these things to him! 
Prince: (Smiles) Fans only... some of them use pickup lines.

One trend that you want to set...

Prince: I want to set positivity and confidence as a trend again and stylewise, I think girls look great in sportswear.
Yuvika: I love to experiment a lot with my hair! Your hair is something that can change your look completely, be it colour or cut. After getting out of Bigg Boss, I got a “baby cut” done with fringes. 

A wish that you want comes true

Yuvika:  If I tell you, then it won’t come true! I’m really excited to share with you all when it does.
