Heads up comic book lovers! India is celebrating the first ever Maruti Alto Comic Book Celebration Week, from July 4 to 10. Presented by Comic Con India and powered by ReadWhere, the Celebration Week aims to encourage comic book enthusiasts to read and download Indian comic books.

During this week, fans can download Indian Comic book samplers from Amar Chitra Katha, Chariot Comics, Graphic India, Abhijeet Kini, Campfire Graphic Novels, Holy Cow Entertainment, Meta Desi Comics, Saumin Patel, Shamik Dasgupta and more. The titles include VRICA: Ascension Protocol, Angry Maushi: Heavy Metal, Holy Hell 1, Rakshak, Kaamotsav, Elephant Stories, Birbal, Suppandi 7, Shambhu 7, Beatles, DC Superhero Girls Finals Crisis, Avatar EX and Aghori, samplers for which can be downloaded at readwhere.com.

Fans can log on to celebrationweek.in to learn more about the creators of the comic books — from the colourists to the artists, the pencillers to the writers. Comic book fans can also participate in contests like the Fan Art Contest, Trivia Contest and Fan Meme Contest. “We are bringing the latest and the best in Indian comics to fans across the country.
