Chicken burger with a desi twist

Here’s a desi version of the chicken burger — Vada Pav with a chicken patty, cooked Indian-style. A favourite of college-goers, Goli Vada Pav has made good on its promise to include non-veg fare in its menu, albeit at its Short Street and Sector V outlets for now.

Here’s a desi version of the chicken burger — Vada Pav with a chicken patty, cooked Indian-style. A favourite of college-goers, Goli Vada Pav has made good on its promise to include non-veg fare in its menu, albeit at its Short Street and Sector V outlets for now.

Pick from Goli Chicken Vada Pav, Chicken Desi Tadka Vada Pav, Chicken Malwani Vada Pav, Chicken Chettinad Vada Pav and Chicken Nuggets. “We launched in July last year, with a plan to introduce non-veg fare, for which there was a huge demand,” says Nikunj Agarwal, franchisee of Goli Vada Pav, Short Street. Co-partner Atul Poddar agrees, pointing out that the desi twist to burgers is more affordable for students.

For vegetarians, though, this should be no deterrent. They have in place separate cooking arrangements, staff and utensils for veg and non-veg dishes. And yes, Cheese Vad Pav and Schezwan Vada Pav still remain among the bestsellers.
