Boney Kapoor is keen on remaking Sridevi’s Chaalbaaz and apparently wants Deepika Padukone to play her role in the 1989 film. 

There is also a hint of getting Farah Khan to direct the project. If this works out Deepika will again get a chance to work with Farah, who directed her first film Om Shanti Om and Happy New Year.

It is also learnt that Deepika is also keen on being a part of the Chaalbaaz remake. 

Boney has also registered about 20 titles of Sridevi’s films, including Chaalbaaz, Roop Ki Raani Choron Ka Raja, Jaanbaaz and Mr India.

Chaalbaaz, a 1989 comedy in which Sridevi played a double role, was directed by Pankaj Parashar. It now remains to be seen if this project goes on floor.
