In the promo, the mystery contestant shares how she had always dreamt of working with Salman Khan. “I was unconventional, bold, aur log mujhe 90s ki queen bulate the. Maine sabhi bade heroes ke saath kaam kiya hai — Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun Chakraborty, Govinda, Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan. Sirf ek dream tha, Salman ke saath kaam karna, ab woh sapna bhi mera poora ho raha hai,” she says.

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to identify her as 90s Bollywood star Shilpa Shirodkar.

Shilpa Shirodkar was a popular Bollywood actress during the 1990s. The younger sister of actress Namrata Shirodkar, Shilpa made her debut in 1989 with Ramesh Sippy’s Bhrashtachar, sharing the screen with Mithun Chakraborty and Rekha. She went on to star in several hit films — Kishen Kanhaiya (1990), Trinetra (1991), Hum (1991), Khuda Gawah (1992), Aankhen (1993), Gopi Kishan (1994), Mrityudand (1997) and Gaja Gamini (2000).

After taking a 13-year hiatus from the entertainment industry, Shilpa made a successful comeback in 2013 with the television series Ek Mutthi Aasmaan. She later appeared in the 2016 show Silsila Pyar Ka.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will return as the host for the new season of Bigg Boss, set to premiere on October 6.
