Saregama Music presented the Hindi trailer for its upcoming Tamil-language film August 16 1947 on Tuesday evening. Written and directed by NS Ponkumar, the film stars Gautham Karthik, Pugazh, Revathy Sharma, Richard Ashton and Jason Shah.

The two-minute-nine-second-long trailer shows a British officer and trader using an Indian village for his slave trade in pre-independence India. One young villager, however, wants to be free and takes the fight to the British oppressors.

August 16 1947 will hit the cinemas on April 7.

You Hurt My Feelings

A24, the studio behind Oscar-winning Everything Everywhere All At Once, on Tuesday late evening dropped the official trailer of its upcoming comedy-drama film You Hurt My Feelings. Helmed by Nicole Holofcener, the movie stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Tobias Menzies, Michaela Watkins, Arian Moayed, Amber Tamblyn and David Cross.

The two-minute-24-second-long trailer introduces us to an unsuccessful writer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), who is married to a therapist. However, she finds out that her husband is not impressed by her writing.

You Hurt My Feelings will arrive in the theatres on May 26.

Schmigadoon! Season 2

Apple TV on Wednesday shared the official first look for the season of its musical comedy series Schmigadoon! created by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio. All the songs have been written by Paul, who also serves as showrunner. It stars Cecily Strong, Keegan-Michael Key, Ariana DeBose, Martin Short, Dove Cameron, Jaime Camil, Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Ann Harada, Jane Krakowski and Aaron Tveit.

In the two-minute-16-second-long teaser, we see Josh (Keegan-Michael Key) and Melissa (Cecily Strong) miss the magic they felt in Schmigadoon and in an attempt to return, find themselves in Schmicago—the reimagined world of the ’60s and ’70s musicals.

Schmigadoon! Season 2 will be streaming on Apple TV+ from April 5.

Quasi

Searchlight Pictures unveiled the official trailer of the upcoming satirical comedy Quasi on Tuesday. Directed by Kevin Heffernan, the film stars Steve Lemme, Adrianne Palicki, Adrianne Palicki, Jay Chandrasekhar, Erik Stolhanske and Heffernan.

The two-minute-27-second-long trailer takes us back to mediaeval times with a spin of comedy. We meet the employees of the royal torture chamber and one of them wins a lottery to meet with the Pope. The employee is also having a secret affair with the queen.

Quasi will start streaming on Hulu on April 20.
