Alia Bhatt watches the American sitcom F.R.I.E.N.D.S to cheer herself up when she feels low, the actress has revealed in a video she shared on Thursday. Dropped on YouTube fifteen days after her 30th birthday, the video titled 30 Facts As I Turn 30 shows the Gangubai Kathiawadi star get candid about her food preferences, vanity habits, pet peeves and obsessions.

Alia’s ‘pet peeves’ and habits

“I like being organised but I am very messy,” Alia says at the beginning of the six-minute-23-second-long video, which also features her sister Shaheen Bhatt. The Brahmastra actress says that she has a “pet peeve” with people tapping her on the shoulder to call her and has no patience for shopping physically. Alia, however, is great with online shopping and also owns her own clothing brand, Edamamma named after her cat Edward.

“When I’m upset or irritated or angry, I watch an episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and I’m fine,” she says, adding that she prefers to watch an episode of a show over a movie after work.

Alia’s relationship with Shaheen Bhatt

Like every younger sister, Alia too has a tendency to ask strange questions to her elder sister Shaheen, who makes a quick cameo in the video to confirm the same. “I have a tendency to ask a lot of strange questions to my sister and expect her to have all the answers and it's something that I've done for a very long time,” Alia says while sitting on her dining table in a comfortable pair of pajamas.

Shaheen confirmed the fact with an example. “We were passing a shop today and she’s looking out of the window and she just slapped me and said, ‘Shaheen I have to go to that shop.’ I’m like okay what am I supposed to do about it?”

Her vanity habits and obsession with numbers

The 30-year-old has a weird way of applying lipstick – she puts her mouth to her lipstick and moves around her lips to get the shade on and then she rubs it off. “I eat my lipstick,” Alia quips while putting on a pink shade before heading for a shot. She also likes cleaning her ears, nails and feet very often, says Alia.

The actress is obsessed with numbers. “I have a thing for numbers and especially for numbers 6,9,1 and of course 8,” she says. Ranbir Kapoor’s mother Neetu Kapoor was born on July 8 1958, a number Ranbir has associated himself with for the longest time. Since dating the Barfi! actor, Alia too shares his love for the number 8, which also featured on her wedding kaleeras.

Food, sleep and gym

While reading puts Alia to sleep, the actress has the tendency of lucid dreaming. Like most people, she too is scared of the dark.

“If I had to eat only one thing, it would be poha and chaas,” Alia says while eating from a bowl full of poha. Her favourite snack is a plate of makhana sev, she reveals.

Alia, who became active only a few months after giving birth to her daughter, Raha, enjoys working out everyday, but she hates doing burpees. “My favourite exercise in the gym is pullover and I hate doing burpees,” the actress says in the video.

Alia’s memory book

“I have this book called the memory book which I started filling in the 6th grade when I was 12 years old. It was from the time I was 12 to the time when I was 18 or 19. It's full of cards, sketches and random memories. It's very cringey but I still have it,” the actress says.

Alia also recalls a childhood memory where she used to play a made up game of acting with her friend. “So when I was a kid I used to play this game called actress actress with my friend Bobby and she used to make me the boy,” she reveals.

Even though Alia got bored of putting mehendi on during her wedding day, the actress used to be obsessed with the smell of mehendi as a kid, she says at the end of the video.
