Alia Bhatt plans to convince her Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani co-star Ranveer Singh to sing the song Tum Kya Mile with her as the latter has been humming the romantic duet from the movie ever since the recording sessions, the actress revealed in an ‘Ask me anything’ session on Instagram on Tuesday.
"Ranveer has been openly singing this song ever since it was recorded. He really sings it beautifully. So let me see if I can try and convince him because I think Tum Kya Mile is a duet and it should be sung together," Alia said in reply to a fan question about when they can hear Alia sing Tum Kya Mile.
The actress also wrote about her postpartum journey and how she shot the romantic track just four months after giving birth to her daughter Raha.
"Going back to work as a new mom in any profession will never be easy.. you feel various emotions, all at once, not to mention the major physical difference in your energy.. but I am very grateful and feel very privileged and supported by a team and crew that was understanding. I feel for new mothers everywhere... especially those who have to resume work immediately Postpartum coz it's never easy," Alia wrote alongside a behind-the-scenes photo of her in Kashmir for the shoot of Tum Kya Mile.
She added, "Vaibhavi (Vaibhavi Merchant) maam would try and plan her shots according to my nursing schedule and my mom (and) sister were babysitting whenever I was away!!! But it was my baby girl's first trip to Kashmir and seeing the mountains through her eyes was just everything."
Alia was joined by her mother Soni Razdan, her sister Shaheen Bhatt and her new born daughter Raha for the shooting in Kashmir.
The actress further revealed that the rest of the songs from the Karan Johar directorial will be released soon. Alia will be releasing a mini vlog of the Tum Kya Mile shoot as well, she stated on one of her Instagram stories.
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani marks Karan Johar's return as a filmmaker after a seven year gap. The romantic drama, also starring Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra, Churni Ganguly and Tota Roy Chowdhury, is slated for a July 28 release.
