This one isn’t soup for the soul but it comes close. If you’ve been running around like a headless chicken in search of quick eats, take a cue from Tolly lady Rituparna Sengupta who launched Republic of Chicken’s foray in the east, at The Park on Wednesday afternoon. The ready-to-cook range of chicken products from Alchemist Foods Ltd offers salami, ham, sausages, kebabs and tikka. “I am very fond of ready-to-cook food because it makes life easier. My son (Ankan) loves processed food. I use Republic of Chicken products whenever I visit my home in America. I’m glad I will find them here, too,” smiled Rituparna. The chain will open a number of stops in Calcutta in places like Southern Avenue, Salt Lake, Ultadanga, Gariahat and Lake Town.
