HIS LOOK FOR 2015: Gone is the stubble. Fawad Khan now rocks a clean-shaven look

He walked into our lives as the debonair Zaroon in Zindagi Gulzar Hai, stumped us as the oh-so-handsome Ashar in Humsafar and then bowled us over as the no-nonsense royal-turned-hopeless-romantic Vikram in Bolly debut Khoobsurat. He became an overnight sensation, making women from six to 60 swoon, winning a lot of fans and awards. But that was 2014. It’s the third month of 2015… and we miss Fawad Khan! So, what’s Mr Handsome been up to?

VACATION TO ENDORSEMENTS TO FILMS...

At the beginning of the year, the 33-year-old took off on a holiday with wife Sadaf and son Ayaan. Now back in Pakistan, Fawad — who has also been speaking on acting and the craft of films at various seminars in his home country — has been shooting for a number of endorsements, including Warid Pakistan Mobile Network and Samsung Galaxy smartphone. While he is in talks to sign a big-budget Pakistani film, co-starring singer-actor Ali Zafar, he has not turned his back on Bollywood. So, breathe easy ladies and let’s look forward to...

Battle for Bittora

Produced by the Khoobsurat team of Anil Kapoor and daughter Rhea and
co-starring Sonam Kapoor, Battle for Bittora is based on Anuja Chauhan’s chick lit of the same name. Fawad plays the suave politician Zain Altaf Khan who engages in a fierce electoral battle with Jinni Pande (Sonam)... only to fall in love with her. With Sonam declaring that Fawad is the “only man I love unconditionally”, expect sparks to fly.

Mr Chaloo

After Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor walked out, Talaash maker Reema Kagti has signed on Fawad to play a conman in her film that rolls soon. Co-stars Kangana Ranaut.

Fawad is back on the small screen with the Zindagi show Waqt Ne Kiya Kya Haseen Sitam. Essaying the role of Hasan, Fawad is set to bring to life a poignant love story set in the early 1940s in undivided Ludhiana.
“It is a beautifully written and very well executed show and I am sure that viewers are going to be hooked to it. I am glad that Indians are now getting a glimpse of what Pakistani entertainment is all about. The mere fact that our shows are being equally appreciated in India is proof how close-knit people from both the countries are,” says the heart-throb.
For a slice of Fawad, tune in to Zindagi, Monday to Saturday, 8pm.
