Rich aesthetic musical concerts often are the only times people notice musicians playing different instruments. A typical singer concert, a music video, or traditional album music is where the focus remains tied to the singer more than the musician. It needs a lot of effort for a musical instrument player to grab attention in a typical setup. Arun Gaikwad started understanding music from the age of 11 and his instant love 'tabla' never left his sight. His struggle through thick and thin has made him a successful tabla player today.

Being an instrumentalist always demands extra efforts to gain the stage and deserved spotlight. Even with loaded talent and sharp skills, one has to grapple along the musical journey to reach the position where Arun stands strong. He sets an example among all the aspiring musicians. Arun has been recognised and acknowledged by many known celebrities and organisations in the music industry including National Award winner choreographer (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Raam Leela) - Samir Tanna, Dandiya Queen Falguni Pathak, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Winner & Indian Idol Fame -Kaushik Despande, Professional Playback Singer Sanjay Sawant who has aced more than 500 shows in India and abroad, well known Singer Nirav Barot, and Classic Production House among others.

In a recent conversation, he even mentioned, 'I have seen the worst and greatest days. Something that I shall never forget is how much I have put to the test to reach here. From taking up local shows to being invited to perform internationally, everything was worth the effort. My passion for playing Tabla was very clear in my head and I had a vision. I am still all hand on my tabla as I don't want to stop learning new things. 25 years of struggle and I now feel at peace.'
