For me, natural beauty products are what go into my system rather than what I apply on my face. If you have a healthy diet, it reflects in the glow on your face. I am very particular about what I eat. I make sure to have lots of fruits throughout the day. I also keep myself well hydrated by drinking juices of vegetables like beetroot, carrot and gourd. |
I am a 22-year-old man. I am trying to grow my hair long. What’s the best way to ensure good hair growth? My hair is thick and a bit wavy and I have an oily scalp.

Keep your hair clean and well nourished at all times. You can oil your hair twice a week followed with steaming and use a conditioner only at the ends of your hair after shampooing. Try and cut down on oily food and increase your water intake. Never leave oil on overnight and always keep a squeaky clean scalp.
I am a 30-year-old working woman. Could you possibly suggest an easy-to-make homemade pack to apply on my hair on Sundays to make my hair feel smooth? My scalp is a little oily but then my hair tends to be rough and dryish, especially towards the ends.

Take half a cup of yoghurt and add the following to it — 2tsp honey, 2tsp each of amla, reetha and shikakai. Also add 2tsp triphala. Mix all these ingredients well and apply to both the scalp and hair. Leave in for about 40 minutes and shampoo off for silky smooth hair in minutes. This should be done once a week.
