June Banerjee 6singer I have dry skin. So, I use body oil throughout the year. I splash my face with rose water whenever I can to keep it feeling fresh. Once in a while, I use a face mask made with uptan. Thankfully, I am blessed with good hair, but because of my profession I have had to get it treated with chemicals. So, for damage control, I use coconut or almond oil on my hair, and get a regular hair spa done. Apart from this, I make it a point to avoid fried and spicy food so that my skin doesn’t break out into pimples. Also, I eat a lot of fish, rich in Omega 3 fatty acids, which is beneficial for my skin, and have almonds every morning, which benefits my hair. Pic by Subhendu Chaki |
I am a 26-year-old woman. Could you please suggest a good full-body pack made from natural ingredients that I can get my masseuse to apply for me? I have
normal skin which tends to get dry in winter. I need something that moisturises the skin during winter and also makes it glow and look healthy.

The most wonderful things for winters would be to have a weekly body massage with enriching oils that moisturise the skin and nourish it naturally. However, if you are one of those who need that extra moisturising here’s a fabulous body scrub that can be used at home. Take 100g powdered almonds, 200g oatmeal, 50g walnuts, 50g dried orange peel powder, 100ml almond oil or sesame oil. Mix all this into the scrub and take half of this scrub, add full cream milk to it, making a thick smooth paste. After your body massage with oil, scrub this all over the body and wash off to feel super soft skin. u
