Honda launches Activa variant

Price of new launcg starts at Rs 74,536, plans to come up with charging infrastructure to support its electric vehicle customers

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is lining up multiple products in the electric vehicle segment with the first model expected to make its debut in March next year, the company’s managing director, president and CEO, Atsushi Ogata, said on Monday.

The company, which on Monday launched a version of its Activa scooter which conforms to the upcoming stricter emission norms, with a price starting at Rs 74,536 (ex-showroom Delhi), plans to come up with charging infrastructure to support its electric vehicle customers.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), which remains the leader in the scooter segment with a market share of 56 per cent, is also looking to consolidate its position in the motorcycle segment with the introduction of a 100 cc bike next month.

Hyundai Aura

Hyundai Motor India on Monday said it has launched an updated version of its compact sedan Aura with a price starting at Rs 6.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The company has introduced the model with introductory prices ranging between Rs 6.29 lakh and Rs 8.57 lakh.

“We have worked towards delivering a world-class product for modern Indian families that will offer safety like never before. As a customer-centric brand, it has been a continuous endeavour to push boundaries and ensure customer delight through our class leading products,” Hyundai MotorIndia MD and CEO Unsoo Kim said in a statement.

The new Aura comes with petrol and CNG trims with diesel variants discontinued in the new range. The car has over 30 safety features, including four airbags as standard fitment and six airbags as an option.
