Patna, Jan. 9: Calmaart Event today organised the semi-final audition for Mr and Miss 2010 at Get Together Hall in the capital.
Thirteen boys and 10 girls took part in the event in ethnic and casual attire rounds.
Clad in Indian as well as western attire, the contestants introduced themselves by turns. Rhythmic background music was played during the entire duration of the show. As the contestants strutted down the ramp, they were applauded for their performances.
Mrigank, a super model from Delhi, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said: “It’s a good effort and the contestants should continue with it.” Mrigank gave them tips and encouraged them to participate in Mr and Miss India contests too.
The judges at the event were Chirantan from AHRF, Abhay Singh from Amrapali Group and M. Mishra from Pulse Entertainment.
Peter Nizam and Yashree Rani conducted the event. Director of Calmaart Event Ashutosh Mishra and secretary Rohan Parmar were also present at the event. Parmar had also guided the contestants on personality development and grooming. Gaurav Kumar conducted the choreography.
Walking on the ramp singularly or in groups of two or three, the contestants left the audience spellbound.
In the question-answer round, the judges asked the contestants a number of questions to select the finalists.
The contestants replied with confidence why they wanted to grow in this field.
The contestants shared their future dreams and aspirations as well. Questions related to intelligence quotient (IQ) too were thrown at them.
There were dance performances by Anil Raj’s troop. Satyam and Shreya entertained the audience with their choreography.
The judges said if these contestants were given a proper platform, they could progress much further.
The contestants performed in western attire and they also put up performances in ethnicwear. The female contestants wore saris and lehengas and the boys sported the traditional dhoti-kurta. Apart from that, they had put on “angvastra” too. Juhi, Ishita, Harsha, Richa, Ayushi and Swati were the female contestants who made it to the final.
Among the male contestants, Sadiq, Rajeev, Vivek, Rahul, Vishal, Utkarsh and Atul Rai were the finalists for the competition to be held on January 22.
