Participants take part in the senior state swimming championship at Moinul Haq Stadium on Sunday. Ramvilas Pandey, secretary, Bihar Swimming Association, said: “In total, 15 participants in the age group of 14-40 competed in different categories, including 100m and 200m freestyle, 50m butterfly, 50m backstroke and 50m breaststroke.” Pawan Kumar Yadav, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Kanchan Kumar and Ritika Raj Singh emerged winners. The winners are scheduled to take part in the national championship to be held in Calcutta from November 5 to 9 and the 35th National Games in Thiruvananthapuram in January 2015.
