Super 30 founder Anand Kumar speaks during an event organised by Indian groups in association with the Consulate General of India in Vancouver, Canada, on Monday evening. Anand urged the Indian diaspora in Canada to contribute towards the progress of India in whatever manner they could.
'With such a large number of successful Indians in different fields here, India can bank on it and hope to use this vast expertise for its progress. All you people have to do is to make a plan and execute it, which you all are capable of,' Anand said, while addressing the audience at the event named Namaste Canada.
Anand said there were abundant opportunities in the field of education, healthcare and skill development in India and in the digital era when India is moving ahead with a digital-first approach, distance would not matter, passion and commitment certainly would. Anand had been invited for the event for his contribution to society through his Super 30 initiative for talented students from the underprivileged sections of the society. His Super 30 provides them free mentoring at his home, where students from different backgrounds live and eat under one roof. So far, over 400 of his students, mostly from underprivileged families have made it to the IITs.
