Patna, May 26: Finally, the Class XII results of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examination will be declared on Friday.

However, the Class X examination results would be announced by May 31, board officials said.

CBSE results for Class XII examinations were declared across the country, except Patna region, on May 23.

The students and the teachers have been very worried. Students who have applied for institutes outside Patna are in for more trouble, as the institutes have asked for the original marksheets and have also set a deadline.

Students failing to meet the deadline would not be able to get the admission to the institute.

Ever since the results of Class XII examinations have been declared across the country, the students have been continuously calling up their respective schools as well as the CBSE regional office in Patna.

There has also been confusion over the announcement of the results of Class X CBSE examinations. The results were likely to be declared in the first week of June but if the board officials are to be believed, unless there is some last-minute problem, the results would be announced by May 31.

Employees at the regional office in Patna (Bihar and Jharkhand) are even working till 2am on some of the days to complete the work related to the results.

Apart from employees of the school, some schoolteachers have also been involved in the process to get the work done faster.

“This is the first time the Patna regional office has taken responsibility for the publication of the results but the members are not trained on that,” said K.K. Jain, deputy secretary, CBSE, Bihar/Jharkhand.

Jain told The Telegraph: “We are trying our best to announce the results of classes X and XII as soon as possible. All of us are working even at night to ensure that the students do not have to wait any longer. Some school teachers have also been involved in the process.”

Jain said: “Class XII students can see their results on the CBSE website on Friday after 10am. Class X results are also likely to be announced by May 31 this year. Unless there is some major problem, the Class X results would come on time.”

A CBSE official told The Telegraph: “Unlike what has appeared in the newspapers, the results of Class X would be declared in Patna when it is declared across the country.”

Seeing the delay in the publication of Class XII results of CBSE, several papers had mentioned that even the Class X results would also be announced later in Patna after it is declared across the country.
