Patna, Aug. 28: Techies in the state may soon adapt innovative and modern techniques of infrastructure development to attain maximum durability of civil projects.
With a focus on this, Bihar Engineering Services Association (Besa), in alliance with Italy-based Maccaferri Environmental Solutions Private Limited, today organised a daylong workshop on “Infrastructure Development: Typical Construction Problem and their Innovative Solution”.
“The aim of this workshop is not only to spread awareness but also to sensitise policy makers and provide a platform to the technocrats to get a technical feedback about innovative solutions. Among many possible innovative solutions include Gabions and Geosynthetics, which are ancient concepts but their modern forms have a wider scope in the construction sector in Bihar,” Besa president Rakesh Kumar said.
Around 150 engineers attended the workshop. Speakers emphasised on the need for innovative civil engineering techniques in Bihar.
