Gopalganj, March 28: Around 12 men entered the house of a police officer and decamped with Rs 3 lakh and ornaments worth Rs 50,000 last night.

The incident occurred at Sisai village under Bhore police station in Gopalganj district. The owner of the house Kapildeo Mishra, a police inspector posted at Devaria in Uttar Pradesh, today lodged an FIR in this connection. He is here on leave.

Sources said around 12 thieves entered his house late last night. At that time the family members were asleep and the thieves after burgling decamped with the booty.
