Patna: Tej Pratap Yadav, the newlywed elder son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad, is getting his wife, Aishwarya Rai, acquainted with the things he holds dear.
On Monday, the young RJD leader took his wife to the Shiv temple that he had built behind the 3 Deshratna Marg bungalow. The bungalow was Tej Pratap's official residence when he was the state health minister.
He offered prayers along with wife Aishwarya and mother Rabri Devi for around half an hour in the presence of a few close relatives.
Tej Pratap is deeply devout, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had once called him Kishan Kanhaiya after the RJD leader got pictures clicked dressed as the flute-playing god.
Aishwarya has already been dubbed as lucky for the family by Lalu, who had called her up to tell her that after getting parole.
"Laluji said that she is a good-natured girl and her arrival has brought many good news in the family," said a source close to the family. "Laluji also praised Tej Pratapji, calling him a soft-hearted person who cares for everyone and does not react unless provoked."
The RJD sources also said that Lalu was disappointed over the ruckus at the wedding in which hungry hordes looted edibles and also destroyed the caterer's crockery and utensils.
During a conversation with a few close relatives, some asked what will happen when Tej Pratap's younger brother Tejashwi Prasad Yadav gets married.
"Laluji quickly replied that the wedding venue would be Gandhi Maidan as a large number of people will gather. He also said that there would be separate tents for each district and guests would be asked to have their food in their respective district tents," a source said.
Jostling and injury are no strangers to Lalu family weddings. When his eldest daughter Misa Bharti got married, many members from her in-laws' side had been injured in scuffles and Lalu had to apologise to the family for the chaos.
