Patna, April 18: Temperature soared at the chief minister’s janata darbar today, thanks to the heated arguments between ministers and complainants.
At the table of public health and engineering department minister Chandra Mohan Rai, Ram Narayan Choudhary, an employee of the department from Purnea, started shouting at department secretary Rajesh Pawar for non-payment of salary for many years. “You people are just neglecting me. How can you not pay me my salary for so many years?” Ram said.
Rai, disappointed with Ram’s behaviour, said: “There is a proper way to convey your problem. You should be in your limit… you are talking to a secretary and not to a common man. Just because he is not saying anything does not mean you will keep shouting.”
Later, Rai told The Telegraph: “The people should understand that they are talking to a minister. There is a proper procedure to complete any work. These complainants don’t have any information. They come here thinking their problem would be solved immediately.”
Panchayati raj minister Hari Prasad Sah and urban development department secretary Sashi Shekhar Sharma faced similar situations. Sharma lost his patience with Prem Kumar, a resident of Gaya, and said: “If you will talk like this, I am not going to listen to your grievances.”
Prem retorted: “Fine, don’t listen but I will talk like this only. You are doing nothing.”
