Patna, Feb. 3: Taking on challenges and surpassing those comes easily to Sushil Kumar.
The Kaun Banega Crorepati V winner today donned the role of a motivator for fledgling politicians, inspiring them with tales of his toils and success.
The 32-year-old from Motihari, who shot to fame after winning Rs 5 crore in the hit TV reality game show, gave valuable tips to around 200 youths of the JDU's student wing at Nitish Kumar's official residence - 7 Circular Road.
Though he has not joined the party, Sushil could not turn down Nitish's invitation and advised youngsters on how to achieve success in life during his half-an-hour interaction. His visit to the political corridor, though, surprised many.
Two days back, Sushil adopted 40 youths at Sirha village of Motihari in East Champaran district and promised to meet their education and sports needs. Even there, he had motivated youths to do something positive in life, citing his own example.
On Tuesday, fielding questions on how he cracked the game show to his experience in Kaun Banega Crorepati V, he confined himself on three issue - key to a successful life, how to overcome hurdles and having positive thoughts.
After the session, Sushil told The Telegraph: 'It was an energetic interaction. The youths asked me several question on the key to success in life. I asked them to be positive and have faith in one's talent and success would automatically come. I also asked them not to have doubts and try to perform life's basic duties no matter how small they seem.'
Nitish, too, praised Sushil and said despite coming from a humble background, he has the quality to become a youth icon. 'I think Sushil should become the ambassador for youths in Bihar. He is a youth icon and should encourage youths to do good things in life. We all want him to achieve another milestone in life by dedicating time to society. That is reason I have called him - to motivate youngsters.'
The JDU leader also asked student to join politics and take it up as a career. Nitish also shared his experience and the role of students' movement in JP's Narayan's time. He added how he went to jail with other prominent leaders. He requested the student to take an active interest in the politics as youths could play a big role.
Nitish for AAP
Former chief minister Nitish Kumar today said AAP had an edge over the BJP in the ensuing Delhi Assembly polls.
