The Bihar Entrepreneurship Association (BEA), in collaboration with the industries department, will organise a two-day 4th Bihar Entrepreneurship Summit here on March 21-22 for start-ups and young entrepreneurs.
The association general secretary, Abhishek Kumar, told PTI: "Chief minister Nitish Kumar will inaugurate Bihar Entrepreneurship Summit 2017 and launch the "Start-up Bihar" campaign at the summit."
"This will be the fourth edition of Bihar Entrepreneurship Summit, where 4,000 participants are expected between March 21 and 22," he said.
Industries minister Jai Kumar Singh and chief secretary Anjani Kumar Singh will also be present at the summit, Abhishek Kumar said.
"On the first day, there would be a presentation on the benefits for young entrepreneurs in the state's start up policy and industrial incentive policy and the second day, would be for three business sessions," he said.
"Moreover, there will be a tech-cum-start-up expo of technological products and services," Abhishek said, before adding that selected start-ups would be given free-of-cost technology by big firms participating in the summit.
"While the summit's 2015 edition paved the way for making Bihar the next start-up destination with the Bihar start-up policy, incubation centres, a Rs 500-crore state venture capital fund and Bihar start-up yatra among some initiatives, its 2016 version gave Udyog Samwad and the start-up committee to implement the start-up policy," Abhishek said.
