Keeping the Delhi gang rape incident in the backdrop, Dexterity Global, a non-profit organisation, organised a discussion session — The Right Fight — at the Bihar Industries Association on Wednesday.
Students from various schools and colleges, academics, civil society members associated with the Dexterity Global, vented anger against rape incidents and rapists.
“Why do we have to be someone’s sister or daughter to get respect from others? Why are we not considered human beings?” asked Arunima Singh, a student of Delhi University, a participant at the event.
Students also voiced their opinions on the punishments that could be awarded to rapists. Deepak Kumar, a Patna University geography student, said: “The victim should be given the right to penalise the accused.”
