"Sportsmen fall and rise, it is part of their life. It is a very small thing for me and nothing has happened. If I am at a battleground, I will fall and get up," he said, valiantly. Text by Amit Bhelari, PTI pictures

KUCHH DUR CHALTE HI... Lalu Prasad's elder son Tej Pratap Yadav literally hit the street - read fell off his bicycle - on Thursday while making a "symbolic launch" of the RJD's Cycle Yatra against the state government that will pedal off from Gandhi Maidan on Saturday. To drum up support for the Yatra, Tej Pratap started his cycle ride at 8.30am from a gym on Boring Road he visits every day. His supporters and security guards followed behind him. Passing through the Boring Road roundabout and Bailey Road, he reached the road connecting Eco Park. When he reached near the old secretariat, there was a small roundabout where he was supposed to turn right. Tej Pratap sped up to zoom ahead but there was a security car ahead of him. At the corner of the roundabout, Tej Pratap tried to overtake the vehicle by slipping through a small gap between the vehicle and the roundabout but banged against the Gypsy and fell. He received minor injuries to his hands.
