Patna, July 15: Tejaswi Yadav is all for the youth.

The 26-year-old son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad has even proposed 50 per cent of tickets to the youths in the Assembly elections. Tejaswi has prominently taken up the issue of youth participation in politics and to make them more inclined towards this field.

He also claimed that the party is working silently on all possible seats of the RJD and a call centre would be set up shortly where people can share their problems in the respective Assembly constituencies.

Tejaswi is set to contest this year's election from Raghopur and has been working hard to make his own niche among the cadres and people in general. Tejaswi said: "Youth should get the opportunity in policy-making of the government and that can only happen if they participate in it through democratic set-up - election. This time, I will ensure that youth must get equal representation and proposed my father to give 50 per cent tickets to the youths."

Tejaswi is more articulate and got better political understanding comparing to his elder brother Tej Pratap who is also set to contest election from the Mahua Assembly seat. As the election is coming nearer, both brothers are visible standing next to Lalu at every occasion.

Tej Pratap has already set a war room in Danapur which was earlier used to be a cowshed. However, it was Tejaswi who found more active in setting examples for the RJD, especially making the party aware about the advantage of social media. It is evident that Tejaswi takes care of Lalu's Facebook and Twitter presence, too.

"Being the son of Lalu Prasad, social justice is there in my DNA and now I want to spread this message among the youth, which constitute the largest population in India. They are the one who will now how to set examples in politics and I have taken up the responsibility to give them what they deserve," Tejaswi said.

He added that a call centre would be set up in Patna shortly to facilitate the people who want to get connected with the party or want to share their problems.

Tejaswi said: "Our only motive is to get closure to the problem of the people and how to solve it. This is the basic courtesy of any leader and one cannot run away from this."

He also expressed his concern over the BJP's allegation that Lalu's face is not visible in the campaign started by chief minister Nitish Kumar.

"Long back, the party has silently started its campaign across the state and we not need to tell anyone. Our workers are already busy conducting survey of all possible seats traditionally occupied by the RJD. The campaign slogan is Lalten Ka Prakash, Bihar Ka Vikash. What is the need of my father's face in the JDU campaign? Though we are contesting election in alliance, we still are two different political parties and every party carries forward their respective campaign in their own way," said Tejaswi.

He added that soon the slogans would be visible across the state and the party has fastened the belt for the Assembly elections.
