Chhapra, March 31: In a challenge to the idea of providing electricity to the villages with the help of a centralised infrastructure, Greenpeace, an international organisation, along with other bodies, launched the audit of Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Vidyutikaran Yojana in the district today.
The audit will be conducted in Tayaiya, Isuapur, Lahladpur, Manjhi, Nagra, Sonpur, Marhaura, Parsa and Dighwara blocks. It aims to analyse the implementation of the scheme and test whether its mandate is being fulfilled. Greenpeace consultant Navin Mishra said the audit will contest the centralised power generation and distribution method.
