Patna, Oct. 17: Shatrughan Sinha today took on the BJP on Twitter, calling local leaders dictatorial and speaking about teething troubles in the BJP.

A day after taking a dig at the Centre over skyrocketing prices of pulses, the Patna Sahib MP on Saturday fuelled claims of a "negative message" of the BJP's last-minute decision to cancel a few of the Prime Minister's rallies.

He posted three tweets around 10.45am before attending meetings with senior officials in Kerala government and enjoying the ride on houseboat in the Kerala backwaters. In his first tweet, the actor-MP said: "Hope, wish and pray that despite some teething troubles and electoral problems, we do as well as we expected in the Bihar elections." Around three minutes later, he again posted: "Though some local dictatorial leaders in Bihar are solely responsible for creating the mess and an undesirable situation in Bihar."

He ended with: "A situation that led our star campaigner PM to cancel his Bihar rallies at the last minute...sending a negative message???"

While most BJP leaders refrained from commenting on his tweets, a senior leader told The Telegraph: "I would not speak on what Shatrughan has to say as it would unnecessarily give weight to him."

Political observers claimed Shatrughan was trying to compel BJP to expel him from the party.
