A seminar for a special outreach programme by the Indian Government - " Saal Ek Shuruat Anek"- was organised by the Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, at Door Darshan Kendra, Patna.

Ritesh Patel (Sr. Manager, PNB, Patna) and Sanjay Kumar Jha (Branch Manager, LIC, Patna) explained the various plans and yojnas of their organisation.

Conference

The sixth National Conference of Computer Education 2015, organised by the Computer Education Council was held on Monday at the Indian Medical Association hall. It promoted the development of computer education and promised to provide opportunities to students of all ages.

Ram Lakhan Ram, art and culture minister of Bihar and Sarvadeo Prasad Gupta, chairman of Computer Education Council were present.

RBI Rajbhasha

With a view to make the use of Hindi quite common in banking transactions, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Monday organised a lecture on " Banking Hindi Ka Saralikaran - Chunautiyan aur Samadhan" (Simplification of Banking Hindi- Challenges And Solutions) at the Central bank's premises here.

Inaugurating the lecture, RBI Regional Director, Bihar & Jharkhand, M K Verma said, "There is a need to communicate and transact in the vernacular language in order to popularise and familiarise the banking products and financial services."

Summer camp

The free summer camp for poor children, initiated by the Agarwal Charitable trust on June 7 came to an end on Monday. Rajendra Prashad was the chief guest. Dr Geeta, organiser of the summer camp said: "Our mission was to provide a platform for the poor children ."
