| Delegates at a state-level seminar, “Role of Khadi and Village Industries Commission in the eradication of unemployment”, in Patna on Tuesday. The seminar was jointly organised by Prem Youth Foundation and VIVEK (Bihar Berozgar Council). Praveer Kumar, the assistant director of Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), said: “KVIC has got a budget of Rs 9,000 crore this year. It would use a part of it to provide loans to small-scale industries.” BJP MLA Arun Kumar Sinha said: “The state government aims to help those who are interested in starting their own business. Instead of looking for jobs, the young people should start business of their own.” Prem Kumar, the founder of Prem Youth Foundation, said: “Terrorism and Naxalism are the results of unemployment. Unless enough employment opportunities are created, the two menaces cannot be controlled. Youngsters are getting educated with the objective of fulfilling their respective needs. They have forgotten that they have the strength to change the society. On the other hand, those interested in changing the society are compelled to worry about jobs.” The event also was also attended by Paliganj MLA Usha Vidyarthi, Digha MLA Poonam Devi, Mithilesh Kumar, DGM, Nabard, MLC Neeraj Kumar among others.
