A government railway police (GRP) official scans luggage at Patna Junction on Wednesday. The GRP has installed four luggage scanners at the entrance of the station.

A government railway police (GRP) official scans luggage at Patna Junction on Wednesday. The GRP has installed four luggage scanners at the entrance of the station. Patna Junction GRP inspector Pramod Kumar said the scanners were installed to check for explosives and other unwarranted objects. Pramod said the devices were put into operation from Monday and within a day of its installation, a person was caught with a liquor bottle. Three scanners have been installed at the main entrance of Patna Junction, whereas the fourth has been installed at the Karbigahiya end of the junction. Text by Amit Bhelari, picture by Jai Prakash
