Kumar Sanu took his fans on a musical journey at BSEB ground in Patna during an event organised by All India Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology on Friday. Doctors from across the country took in the performance

Romantic voice

Kumar Sanu, the man with more than 18,500 songs in 23 languages, left the audience spellbound. In a sky blue blazer and black trousers, he made everyone believe that he still has the voice to die for. A diamond bracelet completed his look

Doc singers

While interacting with the audience, Kumar Sanu made the doctors sing a few notes. “I have a long list of requests. Most of them are all-time hits of Kumar Sanu. I was supposed to leave in the evening but then I changed my mind and chose to be here,” said Nilesh Dalal, a doctor from Indore

Fashion brigade

The fashionistas beat the chilly wind in style. The doctors upped the style quotient of the evening and showed they also follow fashion trends. A woman in an orange sari teamed with a backless blouse and perfect curls was a head turner. Another woman rocked a black top paired with a golden net shrug. Silk saris in tomato red and neon green topped the wardrobe choice

Search for soul

“The vulgarity in today’s music has destroyed the romance and aura of Bollywood. It’s lost somewhere. We need to recreate the aura of romanticism in Bollywood,” said Kumar Sanu. He also said Bollywood now lacks good singers and music composers

Cheerful crowd

The audience requested the singer to belt out some of their favourite tracks from Bengali movies. Sanu even mesmerised the audience by singing in various languages, including Assamese, Oriya and Spanish. “Even if we didn’t understand all the languages, his voice was enough to make us swing throughout. I personally liked the tracks of the 90s. The magic is still there in his voice,” Priyanka Sinha, said a doctor from Delhi. The audience didn’t get tired of clicking pictures

Jab koi baat bigad jaaye
Do dil mil rahe hain
Ek ladki ko dekha to aisa laga
Dheere dheere se
Chand sitare phool aur khusboo
Tu meri zindagi hai
Zindagi ki taalash mein
Sambhala hai maine
Aaj hamare dil mein
Mera dil bhi kitna pagal hai
Sochenge tumhe pyaar
Tujhe dekha to
Ladki badi aanjani hai
