Patna: RJD legislature party leader Rabri Devi on Wednesday declared that communal flare-ups will continue to singe Bihar as long as Nitish Kumar remains the chief minister.
Communal violence is erupting wherever the BJP is in power, she alleged.
"Bihar will continue to burn in communal violence as long as Nitish Kumar will remain chief minister. He has become helpless before the BJP and is unable to do anything. The media should ask him why he has become so helpless. He is sitting on the lap of RSS and getting directions from Nagapur," Rabri said at the portico of the Legislative Council.
Rabri alleged that the chief minister has become a mute spectator and is telling lies on the floor of the House even as Bihar is under the grip of communal violence.
She was referring to a tweet by her son and leader of Opposition in the Assembly Tejashwi Prasad Yadav in which he posted a video of police action in Aurangabad juxtaposed with a clip of Nitish telling the House that there has been no police firing.
"Nitish Kumar should tell the people of Bihar why he is unable to take action on the violent incidents taking place across Bihar. Nitish was telling lies on the floor of the House that there was no curfew in Aurangabad when in reality curfew was imposed in the district," Rabri claimed.
" Janata Nitish to sabak sikhayegi agle baar (people will teach a lesson to Nitish the next time); his days are over now. People have understood him very well," Rabri said.
She also asked why Union minister Ashwini Choubey's son Arjit Shashwat has still not been arrested.
"A government of murderers and rioters is ruling Bihar. Nitish should speak why he (Arjit) has not been arrested yet despite a court order," Rabri said.
She alleged that law and order in the state is at the mercy of god and no one is there to take care of the innocent people.
