Patna, Nov. 21: Former chief minister Rabri Devi today attacked BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and chief minister Nitish Kumar before embarking on the second leg of her Parivartan Yatra in Paliganj in Patna division.
“Narendra Modi is a rioter and his dream of becoming the Prime Minister of the nation would never come true. He is a selfish man and can never think about the development of India, his continuous rally and campaign would not help BJP to win the hearts of the electorate,” said Rabri.
She added: “My husband is innocent and he has been put behind bars under political conspiracy. I am going to the people’s court, they are the real judge. They would decide the fate of my husband. There is no proof against him.
“In fact, there was a disproportionate assets case against me as well but I got relief from the Supreme Court. In a similar way, my husband would get relief by the people of this state.”
She received a grand welcome in Paliganj and while addressing the rally, she attacked Nitish for allowing Narendra Modi into the state.
“I am wondering how a person like Narendra Modi who is responsible for taking several lives can be allowed to enter the state. I can say with full confidence that all this is happening on the instruction of Nitish, who himself is a communal person,” said Rabri.
Before Rabri, leaders like Ram Kripal Yadav (MP), state unit president Ram Chandra Purbey and Rabri’s son Tej Pratap and Tejaswi also addressed the gathering.
After Lalu’s conviction in fodder scam case, RJD is being headed by Rabri and in every party function; Tej Pratap and Tejaswi accompany her.
She added: “When Laluji was chief minister, he never allowed people with communal mindset to enter the state. He stopped people like Togadia and L.K. Adwani but Nitish has failed to do so. Not once, a person with communal mindset like Narendra Modi has landed in the state twice and he is again coming in the month of December. Nitish does not have guts to stop him, the chief minister is incompetent.”
Younger son Tejaswi also proved to be a good orator and got lot of applause for his speech.
“My father is innocent and very soon, you will see the truth. We will also expose who were people tried to make conspiracy against him. We have a big challenge ahead and let me assure you that RJD is the only party which does not differentiate between castes. In the eyes of Laluji, everyone is equal, my father is the messiah of the backward communities, Dalits, minorities and Extremely Backward Classes. Under a big conspiracy, my father has been framed and the people of Bihar will take the revenge by throwing out the Nitish government out of power,” said Tejaswi.
He also attacked Nitish over the governance part and said: “Law and order in the state is on the verge of collapse. Corruption is rampant in every department and bureaucracy has received absolute power and there is no one to keep a check on them.”
