Patna, April 19: A production warrant has been issued against Pune-based stud farm owner Hasan Ali Khan today by the chief judicial magistrate court, Patna in connection with issuance of forged passport from the Patna passport office.

Chief judicial magistrate Surendra Pratap Singh has directed the superintendent of Arthur Road Central Jail in Mumbai to produce Ali by April 30, 2011 in the court. Ali is in Arthur Road jail in connection with the money laundering case.

Today, deputy superintendent of police and investigation officer of the case Lalit Mohan Sharma, filed a petition in the court of the chief judicial magistrate to issue production warrant against Ali for necessary interrogation. The investigation officer submitted before the court that Ali is wanted in connection with issuance of forged passport case.

Patna Kotwali police had registered an FIR against Ali on December 19, 2010 on the basis of a written report of area passport officer, Patna.

In the report it is mentioned that Ali applied for a passport in Patna Passport Office and on the basis of the application, a passport was issued to him on April 10, 1997. During subsequent investigation by the directorate of enforcement, ministry of finance, it has been found that Ali had obtained several passports from different places in India and abroad. He got a passport issued from Hyderabad regional passport office in 1986 followed by Pune in 2005, Chandigarh, Guwahati and high commission London in 2003 prior to this.

It is also mentioned in the FIR that in the passport application he had changed the spelling of the name of his father, mother and spouse. His place of birth was mentioned in his application as Sitamarhi (Bihar).
