Chhapra, Nov. 11: The shuffle of principals of colleges in Gopalganj, Saran, and Siwan under Jaiprakash University has raised eyebrows.

The principals have been asked to join their new institutes within 24 hours. The chancellor’s nominated member for the transfer committee, Gyandeo Mani Tripathi, said he did not understand the purpose of the transfers as to whether these were done on the basis of performance or it was a routine shuffle. “Male principals have been posted at women’s colleges and principals with good performances have been transferred to smaller colleges. Since it was the first such meeting, I gave my consent, keeping in view the interest of the university,” he said.
