Patna, March 14: Residents of the state have come up with important suggestions for amendment to the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2011, said the chairperson of the committee entrusted to draw up the working draft.

Sudha Kaul, the chairperson of New Law Committee, said: “The ministry of social justice and empowerment has taken a positive step to form the committee. The people of Bihar are well-informed about their rights and their suggestions will be seriously dealt with.”

Suggestions like jobs in all departments, free higher education etc. came up at the two-day consultation.
