Bihar Chamber of Commerce and Industries organised a workshop on Monday to ensure builders take care of all fire safety norms while constructing apartments.

Director-general of fire services P.N. Rai and other officials of the fire safety department attended the meet. The discussion focused on the different ways in which fire mishaps can be prevented in apartments and high-rises. Provisions of the building bylaws were also discussed.

Photo exhibition

The Patna circle of Archaeological Survey of India and Excavation Branch, Patna, organised a week-long photo exhibition in collaboration with Bihar Museum to mark World Heritage Day on Monday.

The chief guest of the event was Chaitanya Prasad, the principal secretary of art, culture and youth affairs. Superintending archaeologist Praveen Kumar Mishra and K.C. Shrivastava from excavation branch III gave short presentations on the activities of their respective offices in the preservation of heritage sites, monuments and cultural objects.
