The three-day inter-school basketball and kho kho tournament organised by the Parents'-Teachers' Association of Notre Dame Academy and sponsored by the Women's Development Corporation of the social welfare department concluded on Saturday.Delhi Public School emerged winner in the basketball game by four points.

The tourney was organised to celebrate Girl Child Week.

Golden jubilee

St Karen's organised its golden jubilee function on Saturday. The campus was decked up and the musical The Lion King was staged.

Principal Seema Singh, Rt. Rev. William D' Souza SJ Archbishop of Patna, IAS officer Rahul Singh, Sr. Marie Jessie, A.C principal, Patna Women's College, were the dignitaries present. The ceremonial lamp was lit, while more than 300 students sung the choir.

Construction conference

A two-day governing council meet of Indian Buildings Congress and a national conference on "Vibrant Bihar: Vision 2047" started on Saturday. Ganga Kumar, managing director, Bihar State Building Construction Corporation was the chief guest.

"Constructions have increased in Bihar over the past two decades with significant contribution from developers from other states as well. Indian Buildings Congress played an important role in ensuring that the construction activities are done as per standards and norms," said Ganga.

Indian Buildings Congress national president Shobhit Uppal said: "The organisation acts as an intermediary between the construction industry and the government. We provide training to workers. Our Bihar chapter is doing very well."
