On International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Hitaishi Happiness Society, in association with the Patna zonal unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau, organised a seminar on Friday.

President of the International Reiki Society Dr B.P. Sahi spoke on the role of energy medicine in the treatment of drug abuse.

Women's rights

Women Power Connect organised a seminar on women's rights in association with Pragati Gramin Vikas Samiti, Australian Aid and Oxfam India on Friday, at the AN Sinha Institute of Social Studies.

The seminar on youth engagement on women's rights over land, property and inheritance in India focused on women being deprived of their rights despite the Hindu Succession Act of 2005.

Strike decision

The members of Bihar Health Services Association (BHSA) would take a final decision on their proposed strike on July 6 in their general body meeting to be held on Sunday.

BHSA president Ajay Kumar, while addressing the news meet, said: "The state government has not fulfilled our long pending demands, including providing the dynamic assured career progression scheme's benefit to the doctors."
