It was later disbanded and re-raised on April 15, 1963, to provide medical care to the troops stationed at Gaya military station and also to the former servicemen of the region.
After the establishment of the Officers' Training Academy, Gaya, the hospital was equipped with special departments, including eye, ear-nose-throat (ENT), radiology, gynaecology and pathology.
At present, the hospital provides medical care to the Officers' Training Academy troops and their families stationed in Gaya cantonment. It also provides service to former servicemen residing in Gaya, Aurangabad, Nawada and surrounding districts.
