Child dies at ANMCH

Gaya, May 31: A three-year-old child, An-kush, of Kosma village under Tekari block died on Thursday at Anugrah Narayan Medical College and Hospital (ANMCH) of suspected acute encephalitis syndrome. nkush was admitted to ANMCH around 7.40am . ANMCH superintendent Sitaram Prasad, however, said the child died of heat stroke or meningitis.

Muzaffarpur: Senior superintendent of police Rajesh Kumar on Thursday said they had cracked the case of the murder of Daulat Pandey and the petrol pump loot on May 29 by arresting Sunil Sahni,a gangster, and recovering Rs 14,700 from him.

Nabbed

Patna: Awadhesh Mandal, a gangster and husband of JD(U) MLA from Rupauli Bima Bharti, was arrested in Purnea on Thursday in connection with the assault on the block development officer of Rupauli in the latter’s office a few days ago. Mandal was later produced in court, which remanded him in judicial custody for two weeks.

Patna: Ajay Sharma alias Hanuman Sharma, a sharpshooter and prime accused in killing of transporter Ravikant Choudhary, was arrested from Gujarat on Thursday.

Patna: The transport department on Thursday signed a a memorandum of understanding with M/S Utsav Safety System (P) Ltd. to supply and instal high security registration plates to new vehicles from July 10.
