Patna: Chief secretary Ashok Kumar Sinha on Wednesday held a meeting with district magistrates, superintendents and principals of six medical colleges through video-conferencing to free the institutes from illegal encroachment. he superintendents and the principals were given two months time for the project.

Power boost

Patna: Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Ltd deputy general manager (PR) H.R. Pandey on Wednesday said the capacity to repair transformers would increase to 900 transformers per month from current 300 once the sixth and seventh transformer repairing workshops become operational in the next three months.andey said work is currently underway to construct the 13 new workshops.

Patna: More than 40 students of Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology, Bihta, have been selected by various companies through the campus selection process in the past month. The number of selected students would increase as the campus selection process was still on and placement of its students was one of the top priorities of the institute.

Child rights

Patna: Child rights activists, community representatives, government officials, doctors and advocates on Wednesday expressed anguish over the pathetic implementation of the Integrated Child Development Services in the state. The participants were sharing their views in a programme on early childhood care and development organised by the Bihar Forces, a network of 34 child rights organisations led by Nidan, an NGO.
