Patna, Sept. 26: Union drinking water and sanitation department secretary Navin Kumar, a 1975-batch Bihar cadre IAS officer, will replace Anup Mukerji as Bihar’s chief secretary.
According to a notification issued by the state general administration department this evening, Navin, at present on central deputation , will take over on September 30.
Chief minister Nitish Kumar has been appointing development commissioners as chief secretaries since coming to power.
K.C. Saha, a 1976-batch IAS officer, is the present development commissioner.
