Gaya, May 10: Suspected Maoists torched a stone dust-laden truck near Aima chowki bridge under Khisersarai police station in the early hours of Tuesday.

The truck was going to Pothahi in Patna from Gere hills under Mufassil police station in Gaya district. Around 30 suspected Maoists intercepted the truck and directed the driver and helper to step down. After that they torched the vehicle. The fire could be doused only after the fire brigade reached the spot.

An FIR has been lodged at Khisersarai police station.
