Indubhushan Singh, the son of murdered Ranvir Sena chief Brahmeshwar Singh “Muk-hiya”, on Wednesday urged farmers across the state to unite against the government’s alleged indifference towards them.
Indubhushan, who is also the president of newly floated Akhil Bhartiya Rashtrawadi Kisan Sangathan, was addressing a gathering of over 200 farmers after offering prayers at a temple at Katra in Kaimur.
Sources said the farmers assured Indubhushan to stand united against the state government and step up their demands.
Hundreds of farmers from villages such as Barupur, Katra, Kuchhila, Dumduma, Chandes, Karhansi and Mohanpur in Kaimur district pledged to take part in a movement under the banner of the Akhil Bhartiya Rashtrawadi Kisan Sangathan. The movement is led by Indubhushan, a resident of Khopira village in Bhojpur district.
“We are going to start the Kisan Sampark Yatra today (Wednesday) from this (Katra) village (in Kaimur district). We would go to various parts of the state and bring the farmers together for this movement. We are moving to Sasaram in the evening.” Indubhushan told The Telegraph.
He alleged that the state government had not taken any steps for the benefit of farmers. He added that the first objective was to unite the farmers, and then decide on the course of action.
On the murder of his father, who was gunned down on June 1 in Ara town, Indubhushan said: “The murder (of Brahmeshwar) was a state government-sponsored conspiracy, as the real culprit is yet to be traced. He was not killed for a battle of supremacy. He was a leader whom everybody liked and respected. Even the political leaders were wary of his growing popularity,” he said.
Those present at the function included Akhil Bhartiya Rashtrawadi Kisan Sangathan general secretary Rakesh Kumar and members Shailendra vatsyayan, Pawan Prakash “Niraj”, Devendra Singh and Anjani Kumar.
